Kérésére a Tanács a segítségére siet, és a növényvédő állomásról permetező kocsik jönnek és kiirtják a bogarakat. Jani ezentúl folyamatosan figyeli az ültetvényt, és megelőző intézkedésekkel is harcol a krumplibogarak ellen.
