"National Minority Movement, Unity Conference, 1925" [T0135.jpg], 1925, National Minority Movement
The conference, chaired by A. J. Cook, called for a United Front and heard speeches by Harry Pollitt, Tom Mann and Alex Gossip.
This programme includes the words of "The Internationale" and "The Red Army March" which were sung during the conference.
The National Minority Movement (NMM) was founded in 1924 on the initiative of the Communist Party of Great Britain. It coordinated committees of militant members of existing trade unions, organised on an industrial basis. The NMM aimed to revolutionise the policies and structures of trade unions by decreasing bureaucracy and overthrowing the existing leadership. |
