Later in 1941, 'enemy' aliens from Germany, Austria and Italy were also required to register and 37,000 [mainly women] did so. This article, entitled 'Industry's Foreign Legion', appeared in the Ministry of Labour and National Service Engineering Bulletin, December 1941.
