Un grand cortège de chars artistiques rappelant les faits de l'époque à parcouru la ville devant une foule nombreuse massée sur le parcours du cortège. PH. Le Roi et la Reine d'Angleterre dans le cortège. Opmerking: in 1938 was Van Artevelde niet 600 jaar dood (stierf in 1345), maar hij kwam aan de macht in Gent in 1338.
