Letters received by the Founder and Honorary Organiser. From EARL BALFOUR, K.G. I have, I need not say, warm sympathy with movements of the kind which you are organising. [signature] The LORD BISHOP OF BIRMINGHAM. I shall be glad to help you in any way. My life's work has centred round the application of Christ to the betterment of social conditions. There should be a Heaven on Earth. We must all labour so that physically, mentally and morally each human being gets an equal opportunity with all others in fulfilling his destiny. [signature] From Right Hon. J.R. CLYNES, M.P. Health is wealth in its highest form. Wealth of mind and body. Knowledge and care are indispensable to health. Organisation is essential to the distribution of knowledge among masses of people who now are least careful of themselves. The People's League of Health is, therefore, an organisation working for the highest national purpose. [signature] From The Right Hon. The LORD LEVERHULME. A Nation's first wealth is health. The Nation has a colossal tax on its resources of wealth to reconstruct and to pay for war indebtedness, and the People's League of Health, by its care of Health, will enable the Nation the better to be equipped to perform this heavy task. [signature] From Sir ROBERT BADEN-POWELL, Bart., K.C.B., K.C.V.O., F.R.G.S., Chief Scout. I think the scheme is excellent, and should do a great deal of good. The want of education in all these matters is the cause of so much trouble. [signature] 41
