Mr. H.V. Tewson, Assistant Secretary, Trades Union Congress. Dear Mr. Tewson, SPANISH REPUBLICANS IN FRANCE. In reply to your communication of 12th June on the above subject I have pleasure in informing you that the I.F.T.U. has, through its International Solidarity Fund, continued throughout all these years to assist Spanish refugees, both here and abroad, when it was necessary. We are now discreetly examining by what means we can send funds to our comrades in Spain itself both for relief and for propaganda. I think, therefore, that the proper thing to do with the money you have received for the Spanish Republicans in France is to pass it on to the International Solidarity Fund of the I.F.T.U.
