description 021-0067-001 Telegram 12.3.37 Largo Caballero presidente Consejo de Ministros y ministro guerra Valencia The International Conference on Spain called at the request of the Spanish General Confederation of Labour and the Spanish Socialist Party by the International Federation of Trade Unions and the Labour and Socialist International, which has brought together in London the delegates of the Labour Movement of the whole of Europe, in greeting you greets the legitimate Government of Spain, the people of Spain and the people's army which, [in heroic Madrid, in Oviedo in Aragon and on the other fronts] on all fronts is fighting for the liberty and independence of Spain against the insurrectionary military and against the aggression of international Fascism. In accordance with the terms of its resolution, the Conference gives you the assurance that in the days and weeks that are to come the entire forces of the workers grouped in its affiliated organisations the whole of the Socialist masses are to be called upon to participate in an energetic campaign on behalf of Republican Spain.
