J DUFFY Asst Secretary: Miss M DAVIDSON -6 FEB. 1937 Telegrams phone 62654 All Communications to be addressed to THE SECRETARY Ref. No. /12 Sir Walter Citrine, Secretary, Trade Union Congress, Transport House (Sth. Block) Smith Square, Westminster, S.W.1. LONDON. Offices of the Administrative Council 21 MOLESWORTH STREET DUBLIN. C.2. 5th February, 1937. Dear Sir, I would be very much obliged if you could give me some information regarding the delegation which discussed the attitude of the Catholic Church towards the Trade Union Movement with the Archbishop of Westminster. Reference is made to the matter in a "Daily Herald" report (2/11/36) under the heading "Catholic Church not opposed to Trade Unions". It would be very helpful if you could give me particulars as to how the delegation came to be appointed, who comprised it and whether there is an authoritative report of tho proceedings which could be referred to. Hoping I am not causing you too much trouble and extending my best wishes. Yours fraternally, L.J. Duffy LJD/MD. 292/946/11/149
