Description
Summary:012a-0041-001 International WMC/WJB/AC/14 15th September, 1938 Mr. W. Schevenels, International Federation of Trade unions, 9, avenue d'Orsay, PARIS VIIe. Dear Comrade Schevenels, INVITATION TO BRITISH WOMEN TO SPAIN. We have received a letter from the following organisation in Spain inviting us to send a delegation of British women there in order to ascertain personally the facts of the situation: Comité de Enlace de las Federaciones Locales de Barcelona, C.N.T. U.G.T., Via Durruti 32 y 34, Barcelona. The letter is signed by: Pépita Carpena Amat and Maria Cabo, and we are asked to send our answer to: Agrupaciones Femeninas C.N.T.-U.G.T. de las Industrias Siderometalúrgicas, Ramblas del Centro no. 35, 3° piso, Barcelona. We have not yet taken any decision, but thought it advisable first to enquire of you whether you have any knowledge of this Committee, and whether the National Committee of the U.G.T. should be communicated with as to this proposal. Any advice you can give would be appreciated. Yours faithfully, General Secretary. 292/946/12a/41
