description 012a-0094-001 FÉDÉRATION SYNDICALE INTERNATIONALE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS INTERNATIONALER GEWERKSCHAFTSBUND 9, AVENUE D'ORSAY, PARIS-VIIe ADRESSE TÉLÉGRAPHIQUE : TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS : INTERFED, PARIS TELEPHONE : INVALIDES 45-88 TELEGRAMMADRESSE : St/H/G. F.I. de Sol. 377 27th April, 1938. To Affiliated and Sympathising National Centres. Dear Comrades, The comrades of the Spanish Committee of the International Solidarity Fund in Barcelona have sent us a map of Spain showing what the International Solidarity Fund has done for Republican Spain, and the different places in which consignants have been distributed. The comrades in Spain requested us to have copies of this map made and this has now been done. We took advantage of this opportunity to have a few extra copies made for affiliated National Centres and sympathising organisations whose assistance has enabled the International Solidarity Fund to carry on its relief work in Republican Spain. We are sending you, under separate cover, 4 copy (ies) of this map. This is the first time that the International Solidarity Fund has made known its activities in this manner. It has always thought it better to use in relief the money contributed for this purpose, and has therefore scorned to use for propaganda purposes even a small part of the funds collected. This attitude has distinguished it from the blatant display made by various other committees, but we believe that it has the approval of our Movement, Yours sincerely, G. Stolz, Assistant Secretary. 292/946/12a/94
