Dear Sirs, Further to our letter of the 20th instant, we have now received advice from Messrs Rafferty & Watson (Export) Ld., Hull, that the s.s. BACKWORTH is not expected to leave Immingham this week, as they are anticipating receiving, from some other source, a further quantity of foodstuffs for Bilbao. We realise that the consequences of the delay may well be serious, but you will appreciate that we are entirely in the hands of the loading brokers, but immediately we have definite information from them regarding the sailing date of the vessel, we will not fail to communicate with you. Meanwhile, we remain, Yours faithfully, J. Thompson Export Department.
