Dear Comrade Schevenels, FOOD FOR SPAIN We desire to confirm our telephone conversation of yesterday when we informed you that we had arranged with the C.W.S. to ship 1,200 cases of milk powder to Sr. Santiago, Fondo Internacional de Solidaridad, Aragon 300, Barcelona. This consignment will probably be leaving Holland either today or tomorrow (29 or 30 December), and we shall be glad if you will be good enough to inform our comrades in Spain. For your information we understand that the Milk for Spain Fund (the Labour Party and the British Co-operative Movement) has also arranged for £1,000's worth of milk to go forward from Holland at the same time. In all probability you will receive notification of this shipment from either the Labour Party or the C.W.S. Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary.
