Obsessed with becoming the fastest and strongest athlete on the face of the earth, the exciting career of young top sportsman Marc Herremans soon took a dramatic turn. On 28 January 2002, he got injured after a bike crash and he is paralyzed from his chest down. Two months later Marc already resumes his training. Between his training sessions, Marc is fully engaged in the cause of his fellow sufferers and he raises funds for research of bone marrow transplants. Within six months he wants to be back at the start of the Iron Man in Hawai, this time as a wheelchair athlete. He also believes he will be able to walk again. |
