description Duration: 03:10:00 The film is often called "the encyclopedia of Soviet life in the early 1960s," and embodiment of the "Thaw" spirit, the quintessence of spiritual brotherhood of people known as "the shestidesyatniki" (men of the 60s.) For Khutsyiev it was the first film about the sons' generation - people born in 1941, who never knew their fathers who had perished at the front. The film's three main protagonists, three friends, are ordinary working-class guys just entering life and wishing to comprehend, evaluate and test everything. They are doubtful about many things, and yet Revolution, war, love and friendship remain unquestioned ideals. The film's truncated version (shortened in half!) was shown in 1965 under the title "I am Twenty".
