Akong, or Ah Kong, or Uncle SMS is Ampon Tangnoppakul, a Thai citizen convicted at the age of 61 under the infamous Article 112 to 20 years imprisonment for Lese Majeste, and who died in prison after lack of medical care on May 8, 2012.
