Principal contributor(s): United Nations. General Assembly Mr. János Kádár gives a speech in which he defends the presence of the Soviet Army in Hungary. According to him, the "Question of Hungary" and the special committee investigation only served Cold War purposes and has been promoted by the United States. This session also discussed a proposal by the Soviet Union to replace the current position of a Secretary General with a tripartite administrative body.
