description Soros Documentary Fund In 1999 in East London, a group of Kosovar Albanian refugees were brought together in order to tell the story of Kosovo while drawing on their own experiences back home. Three days after rehearsals started NATO began the attacks against Yugoslavian military targets. The film follows the evolution of the play “Brokenville” by Philp Ridley and its Kosovar actors, but also explores the lives of the Kosovar refugees in the London suburbs while they are dealing with social inclusion and exclusion problems, being homesick and worrying for the relatives left behind.
