The terrorists, including Hans-Joachim Klein who was the wounded one, managed to escape to Algiers with few of the hostages, who were later released. In "My Life as a Terrorist" the former terrorist looks back for the first time on the life he has led and evaluates the choices he has made. The documentary shows how the personal events in the life of an individual can lead to radicalism and terrorism. A year after he was released from prison, Klein returns to Normandy, France and resumes his life as a farmer. The difference is that Klein has already served his sentence and he is now capable to tell his life story. |
