Description
Summary:"The present brochure deals with major aspects of stress at the workplace. An overview is given of what causes stress, what the consequences of stress are at the workplace and how it can be avoided. Successful intervention approaches are specified and examples of their application in companies are described. In particular those responsible for designing working conditions are given support and encouragement in recognising the importance of stress at the workplace and dealing with it in a controlled way, i.e. counteracting stress-induced factors at the workplace. In accordance with the contemporary notion of occupational safety and health, such action should, as far as possible, be preventive in orientation. "
