Description
Summary:016a-0071-001 MEMORANDUM OF INTERVIEW. Date 4th February, 1937. Time to Reference FEM/MT/539 Present Mr. Gillies Miss McDonald SUBJECT. Mr. Huysmann. Mr. Gillies saw Huysmann to-day who said that he was over here for the Diamond Corporation and staying at the Savoy Hotel. When he was in Valencia he mentioned he would be in London for the Diamond Corporation, and would call. He is not going round seeing a lot of people. He wants all the non-intervention business to come to an end and says that the influence of the two Internationals in Spain is nil, whilst the influence of Communism is 100 per cent. He suggests a permanent Committee of the two Internationals in Valencia - a permanent delegate to be in touch with Pieto. 292/946/16a/72
