Many are still missing, but the discovery of several bodies indicates that the women were murdered. The documentary follows these unsolved and highly publicized crimes against women along the Mexico-U.S. border. The filmmakers integrate testimony from relatives, journalists, factory workers and police officials. The film draws attention to the horrors perpetrated against grieving parents still desperate for answers, showing up a disturbing web of corruption that reaches the highest levels of the Mexican government.
