Description
Summary:Duration: 00:50:00 Friedman visited the West Bank and spoke to Israelis and Palestinians about the Israeli West Bank barrier in order to explore the ramifications of this policy in Israel to separate the Palestinians on the West Bank from the Jewish settlements and towns nearby. While many Israelis see the wall as a necessary security measure, Palestinians see it as a unilateral land grab and physical barrier to their civil rights. Mr. Friedman also provides the historical and political context of the ongoing battle over the West Bank territory, and examines whether the wall is the first step in resolving the conflict and ending the violence that plagues the region. In the end the documentary tragically illustrates that, even as the wall goes up, the violence continues.
