Description
Summary:Verzio FF Submission The film tells the stories of four Mennonites living in the colonies of El Savinal and El Capulin settled in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. These communities have wandered around the world for more than 500 years in search for a place where they can practice their religion freely in the ancient Plautdietsch language. While some colonies keep anchored to the past some are no longer able to resist the outside world and choose to let ‘modernity’ into their lives. Aganetha, Cornelio, Pedro and Jacobo are all trying to balance tradition and modernity, past and future in their quest for a “perfect world.”
