"A new great step on the road towards the unification of the Spanish working class and all the toilers of Spain has been made. A most important political document has been signed and published: the programme of common action of the Socialist and Communist Parties. "The document had been worked out by the National Committee of Co-ordination between the two parties and has been circulated to all local organisations of both parties all over the country." Follows a summary. "The new programme will be met with great joy by all the toilers of Spain. It will be opposed only by the group of Largo Caballero, which tries with all its power to prevents the political unity of the masses of the workers and, naturally, plays into the hands of their bitterest enemy - fascism. But the manoevres of the Caballero-ites have long been destined to fiasco. "Wide circles of the Spanish Socialist Party are supporting their National Committee in its efforts towards fusion with the Communist Party."
