Description
Summary:Film about Stalin's closest circle: Molotov, Voroshilov, Kaganovich, Beria, Kalinin, and about their role in shaping Stalin's policy, in mass purges, and campaigns against the 'enemies of the people.' Their personal sacrifices for the right to remain within the 'inner circle' are explored. The film includes historical material (chronicle and non-fiction footage) and staged moments, in which actors in masks play out historical episodes. The film labels Stalin and his circle as devils, seeing the 'satanic involvement' of the top party politicians behind the historical events.
