Description
Summary:027-0034-001 International. WMC/WJB/DT/622. 19th February, 1940. Mr. W.F. Picken, Wimbledon Trades Council, 38, Chalgrove Avenue, Morden, SURREY. Dear Mr. Picken, ANTI-FASCIST RELIEF COMMITTEE. In reply to your letter of the 14th instant, the body to which you refer is derived from Communist sources, and consequently all their statements and appeals are designed to serve the purposes of Communist policy. We are of the opinion that the position of the refugees in France is a matter that should be left in the hands of the Trade Union and Labour Movement of that country. Yours sincerely, General Secretary. 292/946/27/34
