Sir Walter Citrine, K.B.E., General Secretary, The Trades Union Congress, Transport House, Smith Square, LONDON, S.W.1. Dear Sir Walter, I am enclosing herewith a cheque for £30, which has been contributed by our Branches in response to an appeal sent out by my Executive Council asking for subscriptions for food and clothing for Spain. I have made the cheque payable to the Trades Union Congress General Council but I am not sure whether this money should not have been forwarded to the International Solidarity Fund. Perhaps you would advise me on this point, because I am anticipating that we will be forwarding further contributions as they are sent to Head Office from our Branches. Yours faithfully, John Fletcher. Cheques, etc., to be made payable to the Co-operative Wholesale Society, Ltd., A/c Trustees of the Typographical Association 292/946/32/90
