[] Augenzeugenberichte [] Die Sozialistische Fraktion veranstaltete im Juli 1981 und im Februar 1983 zwei internationale Konferenzen über die Türkei, an denen auch Vertreter der Sozialistischen Fraktion der Parlamentarischen Versammlung des Europarats und Sozialisten aus nationalen Parlamenten der EG und aus Norwegen sowie Vertreter der EG-Kommission und der internationalen Gewerkschaftsorganisationen teilnahmen. [] Experten des Kirchenausschusses für Wanderarbeitnehmer in Europa und von Amnesty International sagten dabei als Zeugen aus. [] Die an der Konferenz von Februar 1983 teilnehmenden Abgeordneten gaben eine umfassende Erklärung ab, die die aktuelle Haltung der Sozialistischen Fraktion zur Türkei wiedergibt: [] Das derzeitige türkische Regime versucht, in einigen Staaten des Atlantischen Bündnisses Falschinformationen zu verbreiten. [] Die Einstellung der EG-Hilfe an die Türkei wird durch nationale Regierungen untergraben, die die Türkei-Hilfe entweder bilateral. oder im Rahmen der Organisation für Wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (OECD) fortsetzen. [] Die neue Verfassung vom November 1982 ist kein echter Schritt auf dem Weg zurück zur Demokratie selbst wenn Wahlen abgehalten werden, weil demokratische Grundsätze und Grundrechte nicht gewährleistet sind und einige Bestimmungen gegen die Europäische Konvention zum Schutze der Menschenrechte verstossen. …”
