Description
Summary:"In order to secure growth prospects and innovation within the EU, creating a labour market adjusted to the needs of older workers and facilitating longer decent working lives is imperative, say Claire Dhéret, Laura Naegele and Eric Thode, the authors of the final report of the Second Career Labour Markets project. However, existing barriers and disincentives still hamper the employment prospects of older workers, resulting in premature withdrawal from the labour force. To address these issues, the authors look at four dimensions – the government, social partners, employers and individuals – where both concrete actions and a change of mindset are required."
