Description
Summary:"Conclusions of this criteria document: there are reports of irritation of the eyes and upper airways in human volunteers exposed to methacrylic acid (MAA) vapour; the substance has a low sensitization potential. No adverse systemic effects have been reported. Animal studies of methyl methacrylate (which is metabolized to MAA and methanol in animals and humans) suggest that MAA is not expected to have genotoxic, carcinogenic or teratogenic potential. Guidelines for first aid, safe handling and waste disposal are outlined."
