Summary:1941 1939-1945 "Production Drive in Engineering - 'New Propellor', 1941" [T0228.jpg], 1941 Following the invasion of the Soviet Union by Nazi Germany in June 1941, the Communist Party and its industrial network called for increased war production and the opening of a second front to help Russia. The 'New Propellor' was published by the Engineering and Allied Trades Shop Stewards National Council, which organised a production conference in October 1941, which it claimed was attended by 1237 delegates from over 300 war factories.
