"Promote people not stereotypes - EOC campaign, 2007" [EP0192], 2007
In May 2007, the Equal Opportunities Commission launched a Promote People not Stereotypes campaign to challenge the myths and stereotypes surrounding Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Caribbean women in the workplace. The campaigned focused on inspirational stories from Black women who have succeeded either by thriving in male dominated professions or by breaking their way through the glass ceiling into senior management. This poster shows Shabana Kosar who is the West Yorkshire Fire Service's first female Asian safety officer. |
