The family occupy a flat of 3 rooms for which they pay 8/6 a week. Wood Green saw Fred Key's sister a girl of 17 who said her Mother was attending the Women's Hosp, Euston Rd. and could earn nothing towards the support of the family, their father died 3 years ago leaving 8 children of whom Fred is the eldest and who has supported the family since, with a little assistance from the eldest daughter who occasionally does a little needlework but her time is mostly occupied in looking after the home. She could not say how much Fred earned or where he worked. Her Brother William had gone to work as an apprentice and is now getting 4/- a week. The rent is 8/6 for four rooms.
