Council to let you know that our Executive Council & our Association have taken a Ballot & has decided that the Beveridge Plan his [is] no Benifet [benefit] to old aged Pensioners to go 20 years before they recive [receive] the £2 pension there will be Hundreds off [of] our Dear Old Pensioners be Dead before receiving that Pension while the grass is growing the Horse is [starvin - crossed out] starving our Banches [branches] have come to a decision not to vote for any Member of Parliament in the future of any Party who will not support the Old aged Pension for 30/ shillings per week without any Means Test of any kind wich [which] is verry [very] unjust we have the Public behind us we have the proof by the last Election in Wallasey witch [which] was a strong conservative constituancy [constituency] it was the old age pensioners Movement wich [which] got Mr. G.R. Reaks [G.L. Reakes] in Parlement [Parliament] wich [which] we beat Mr Pemberton [Pennington].
