Per treatment up to 10 6 (Subject to an aggregate maximum of £5 5s. in any membership year) Other Treatment or Service whilst an In-Patient. (not included in the above schedule) Discretionary payments towards the cost of a course of treatment given by a duly qualified medical practitioner up to 12 12 0 (Being the aggregate maximum in any membership year) N.B. — "Membership year" means any period of twelve consecutive months from the date of enrolment or renewal of membership. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY The Association does not render assistance in respect of : Incurable and senile cases. Normal maternity treatment. Pulmonary tuberculosis. Tonsils and adenoids (patients below the age of 18 years). Contagious or notifiable infectious diseases. Accidents where damages are recoverable from a third party, or where compensation is payable under an insurance policy. War injuries. Mental deficiency and mental diseases necessitating certification. Medical cases normally treated by the patient's own doctor in the surgery or in the patient's own home. Cost of medicines and drugs and surgical appliances. Out-Patient treatment, including preliminary consultation fees, oculist consultation for correcting errors of refraction, and the prescription and alteration of glasses, dental treatment, dentures, and dental diagnosis. 8 292/842/2/63
