Description
Summary:1932 1932 1930s 86 pages : illustrations and zeal, has taken over the duties of Secretary for the present. At the end of this, the first complete year, of Mr. Norman Capener's connection with D.A.C.A. as Orthopaedic Surgeon-in-Charge, it is desired to express keen admiration of his devoted and invaluable services, rendered with tireless enthusiasm for every aspect of the Association's work. The appointment of Mr. Capener as Consulting Orthopædic Surgeon to the Devon County Council tends still further to promote that co-operation with the County Authorities which D.A.C.A. so much values. According to custom, the year's activities are referred to in detail under separate headings and in each section the names of those specially identified with it are appended. In connection with the work as a whole grateful mention may be made here of the following :— The Chairmen and Members of District Committees and the Local Representatives. Mr. Sidney Andrew, Hon. Legal Advisor. Messrs. Ware, Ward & Co., Auditors. The Devon County Council, the Cornwall County Council, Exeter City Council, Barnstaple, Tiverton and Torquay County Education Authorities. The County Medical Officers of Devon and Cornwall and the Medical Officers of Health for Exeter and Torquay. The County Director Red Cross Society and County Commissioner St. John's Ambulance Brigade, Devon. The Medical Practitioners, District Nursing and Child Welfare Committees, Nurses and Health Visitors and all those others who have combined with the Members of the Association to achieve another year of satisfactory work. The Subscribers, Donors and Organisers of special efforts. All of the above and many others not mentioned have in their various capacities contributed largely to the successful year's work which D.A.C.A. is once more able to record, and in presenting their Fifth Annual Report the Committee desire to express their deep appreciation of the support which the Association continues to receive. 6 292/841.51/2/2
