The scheme for establishing a Training Centre has taken a step forward, and in October a joint meeting of representatives of D.A.C.A., The Cornish Orthopaedic Association, the Bath and Wessex Orthopaedic Hospital, Winford Orthopaedic Hospital, Bristol, Dame Hannah Rogers Orthopaedic Hospital, Ivybridge and Plymouth and District Cripples Aid Committee, was held. It is hoped soon to put forward a concrete scheme and to enlist sympathisers and subscriptions. Towards what is a very essential need in the life of the cripple Sufficient land for a Training College has been purchased with the money raised by the efforts of the Exeter Rotarian Club, who remain as ever our very good friends. General Welfare. With the influx of adult patients requests for help with clinic fees and appliances have been more numerous than ever, with the consequence that all the Voluntary Funds of the Association have been used to their utmost. Several urgent cases have been operated on at the Exeter municipal Nursing Home pending the opening of the adult wards, and this again has been in most cases another call upon Voluntary Funds. Propaganda. The services of the voluntary speakers have again been called for in this work, and they have responded willingly as usual and done very good work in making known the benefit to cripples of D.A.C.A.'s various departments.
