The scale of basic wages for male nurses in institutions situated in urban areas is shown below in detail. To these basic rates the cost of living bonus referred to below must be added to ascertain the actual wage received: — NURSES APPOINTED PRIOR TO 17TH JULY, 1922. £ s. d. Minimum wage 2 0 0 per week. Furthermore, a bonus is paid by each institution to meet the extra cost of living prevailing in the district above that of July, 1914. Adjustments are made in accordance with the figures published by the "Labour Gazette.''
