ON CONTENTS It is easier to keep your rooms clean if you do not have unnecessary furniture, pictures and ornaments in them. For reading, sewing, and similar occupations, movable or standard adjustable side lamps are best for the eyes, as they can be moved to the most advantageous position. [illustration] Arrange the living room well. WINDOW-CURTAINS AND BLINDS Blinds are dust collectors. Do without them by arranging your curtains so that they serve as blinds. [illustration] No need for blinds. KITCHEN AND LARDER KITCHEN IS THE HOME "HEADQUARTERS" You can reduce the risk of fatigue by arranging everything carefully — "a place for everything and everything in its place" is a good motto — know where everything is and see that each article is put back in its place. Cleanliness here is the family's best home rule. HAVE A MODERN EASILY CLEANED COOKER Where electricity is available, make enquiries about hiring an electric cooker, which is economical, easy to use and easy to keep clean. [illustration] Is your kitchen cupboard tidy? 8
