Description
Summary:1938-03 1938 1930s 69 pages : illustrations APPENDIX THE HEALTH AND CLEANLINESS COUNCIL'S SERVICE FOR SCHOOLS AND TEACHERS THE Health and Cleanliness Council is essentially an organisation for public education, and the whole of its work is planned in co-operation with educationists and educational bodies. But in addition to work of a general character and wide appeal, it has devoted attention to the development of a service designed specially for the assistance of those who are directly engaged in the work of educating children in schools. The Health and Cleanliness Council is glad to be able to offer teachers material which will be of great assistance when used in connection with the teaching suggested in this textbook. Booklets have been published, indicating practical ways of utilising posters (such as P. 58 and P. 71) in the classroom; but the Council will gladly advise on all matters connected with the teaching of Health and Cleanliness. Teachers are invited to write to the Secretary, Health and Cleanliness Council, 5, Tavistock Square, London, W.C.1, giving the fullest possible particulars of their special circumstances and needs. The following is a brief indication of the material which the Council offers for the service of schools and teachers. It is not exhaustive, since other material is in various stages of preparation; and the list is constantly being supplemented. 65 177/5/8/3
