Description
Summary:1939-10 1939 1930s 27 pages ; illustrations by the oculist, do not hesitate to take such advice. The wearing of them may only be for a short time, and they will not spoil your looks half so much as those ugly little wrinkles on the forehead and round the eyes. Some people look quite "distinguished" in eyeglasses! When your eyes feel tired try bathing with boracic lotion, about a teaspoonful to a tumbler of warm water. Splash them gently once a day with cold water ten or twelve times. If you have been very unwise — reading in bed with the book held up over your face, or in a bad light, or going hatless in strong sunshine — try pads of cotton-wool laid on wet and warm. [illustration] Remember, if you want sparkling eyes, you cannot have them unless you keep all the rules of Health, which apply to sleep, fresh air exercise, cleanliness and proper diet. For eyes reflect, not only the state of your temper, but the state of your body. They are the windows of the soul, and should reveal the Health and joy within. 13 177/5/8/4
