EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF NATIONAL COUNCIL OF LABOUR. Feb 23rd 1937 50. International Brigade: Sir Walter Citrine reported upon an interview he had had with Mr. H.N. Brailsford, who had urged that arrangements be made whereby the International Solidarity Fund should bear the expenses involved in maintaining the dependants of the Trade Union and Labour Party members of the International Brigade. Discussion ensued, in the course of which it appeared that in some cases Trade Union Branches to which members of the Brigade belonged had already accepted this responsibility, and it was agreed that further enquiries be made as to the extent of this procedure.
