To Members of the Standing Joint Committee. 8th December, 1938. Dear Madam, Minutes I am enclosing herewith minutes of meetings held on November 10th, and also of the Spanish Relief Committee meeting, held on November 2lst. You will note from the minutes of the ordinary meeting on November 10th that members of the S.J.C. were asked to send me any information they had about arrangements in their localities at the time of the crisis, either for receiving children, or for sending children out of the big towns and industrial areas. If you have any information on this subject, I shall be very glad to have it. Presentation to Mrs. Barton It was agreed that the presentation to Mrs. Barton should take place following the meeting of the S.J.C. on January 12th, and that the contribution of each member to the presentation should be limited to 1/-. I shall be pleased to receive your contribution, if possible, before the end of the year. It was also agreed by the General Purposes Committee, which met last week, that the tickets for the Reception should be 1/-. I hope it will be possible for you to attend. Spain I enclose a copy of the appeal which is being sent to all local Parties and other organisations for Christmas gifts for Spain. Will members of the [S].J.C. also remember our own Knitting Fund? Can the Executive of your Organisation send a donation for wool? I hope also that members will buy our Christmas Card. They are supplied at 2d. each (cash with order), and the profits go to the "Milk for Spain" Fund. Yours sincerely, MARY E. SUTHERLAND, Secretary. Enclosures. 292/946/1/12
