4, Aberdare Gardens, Hampstead, LONDON, N.W.6. 8th October, 1937. Mrs. B. Church, 346 King's Road, Paulton Square, CHELSEA, S.W.3. Dear Mrs. Church, I did not know who you were when you left your letter at my room on Wednesday. I was very sorry to hear of Miss Church's illness and incapacity for work, and reported your letter to the Committee as you requested. The Committee received the news with deep regret and sympathy. I have written a letter to your daughter informing her of this. I fear she has been over working and this was not realised. I do hope she will be better soon. The Committee agreed last night to grant her two weeks' sick leave on full pay. If she will be kind enough to consent to this, I will give instructions for the cheque to be sent to her at once. I am personally grieved that her health should have been affected just at this juncture. Yours faithfully,
