Description
Summary:C02-0143-001 Telephone:- Maida Vale 1384. Dr. H.B. MORGAN. 4, Aberdare Gardens, Hampstead, LONDON, N.W.6. 30th December, 1936. Mr. W.H. Chambers, Representative for - Messrs. West & Chittenden, Sutherland Street, Walworth Road, LONDON. S.E.17. Dear Sir, Spanish Medical Aid C'tee and Ambulances. After having viewed the Model Ambulance sent from Luton yesterday for my inspection, and having inspected it in your presence and that of the Bedford Sales Manager, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Goddard on behalf of the Spurling Coach Builders Limited, I hereby agree, in confirmation of our verbal agreement at the time of the inspection, that instead of Ambulances being fitted with two Portland Stretchers for four stretchers on either side, there should be on one side a Portland stretcher for two stretchers and two tiers with the necessary air beds, but on the other side there should be the sitting box arrangement, upholstered as shown, but with an additional air bed for a third stretcher case if necessary. The compartments under the seat to be as shown to me, and to be made suitable for the storing of dressings, splints, etc. Yours faithfully, 292C/946/2/143
