Description
Summary:1938-02-08 038-0164-002 -2- and can appreciate her feelings. At the same time it must be remembered that circumstances may arise up to the frontier over which the officers of the Committee can have no control and whilst everything possible is done to ensure smooth working of repatriation only those who have an intimate knowledge of the whole difficulties of the situation can appreciate the magnitude of the task. On the one hand the Committee is being criticised for exercising unnecessary care in sending the children back and on the other hand criticism comes that we are not careful enough. Making allowances for both sides it is just possible that the complaints cancel each other out. You may be assured, however, that the greatest possible care is taken and if unavoidable difficulties have been reported by Mrs. Badsey an attempt will be made to overcome them. Yours sincerely, Assistant Secretary. 292/946/38/164(II)
