G.C. -5 SEP. 1938 Addendum to Resolution No. 48. Mr. Lawther reported that he had asked the Mine-workers' Federation Conference, held at Blackpool, to drop this Addendum as an amendment to a particular resolution and to put the suggestion on the relevant paragraph of the General Council's Report. They had agreed to this course and one of their representatives would raise the matter on the Report. IT WAS, THEREFORE, DECIDED to recommend to the General Purposes Committee that the Addendum be withdrawn on the understanding that a statement on that basis would be made on the appropriate section of the Report.
