Dear Mr. Duffy, I beg to acknowledge your letter of the 5th instant regarding the delegation which had an interview with the Archbishop of Westminster at the end of last year. As Dr. H.B. Morgan, Medical Officer of the Trades Union Congress, was present at the interview I asked him to prepare a statement which would supply the information for which you ask. I enclose a copy of his memorandum which you will observe is private and confidential. Dr. Morgan is extremely anxious that none of the information conveyed therein should get into the press. Mr. H.V. Tewson, Assistant Secretay of the Trades Union Congress, tells me that you have sent a similar inquiry to them and he asks that you will be good enough to consider this reply as an answer to their communication also.
