Dear Sir (Madam), SITUATION IN SPAIN. A Special Meeting of the National Council of Labour was held to-day, Tuesday, to consider the Spanish situation and its implications. It was decided to recommend an early meeting of the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party, the General Council of the Trades Union Congress and the Parliamentary Party to consider the position. It has accordingly been arranged to hold a Joint Meeting of the three bodies at Transport House, on Friday morning next, August 28th, at 10 a.m. I am sorry that this notice is so short, but I am sure that you will realise the urgency of the situation and that you will do your best to attend.
