Description
Summary:013-0026-001 J. Negrin London, January 10th., 1942. Dear Sir Walter, I should like to take this opportunity of thanking you most sincerely for what you have done to help in the case of Largo Caballero. I have now heard from the President of the Mexican Republic and the President of Colombia, that since the Tribunal has not issued an extradition order, he is at the moment in no danger. It seems unlikely that he will be able to leave France, however, but they are doing everything they can to assist in the matter, and I understand that his conditions are quite comfortable. With renewed thanks, and best wishes for 1942, I remain, Yours sincerely, Negrin Sir Walter Citrine, Transport House, S.W.1. 292/946/13/26
